Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how SwarmADE ("we", "us") handles personal data when you use swarmade.com, the SwarmADE desktop application, and our cloud services (the "Service"). We are the data controller for the personal data described here.
1. Data we collect
- Account data — your email address, authentication credentials (stored hashed), and account settings.
- Billing data — subscription plan, Honey balance, and payment metadata. Card details are handled by Stripe and never stored on our servers.
- Usage data — the specifications and task metadata you submit so the Service can orchestrate and meter work, plus diagnostic logs and error reports.
- Product analytics — anonymised or pseudonymised interaction events used to understand and improve the product.
2. How we use your data
We use personal data to provide and secure the Service, authenticate you, process payments and meter Honey, send transactional email, provide support, comply with legal obligations, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal data.
3. Processors we rely on
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
- OpenRouter and the underlying model providers — to run the model inference that powers orchestration and Drones.
- Resend — transactional email (verification, password reset, account notices).
- PostHog — product analytics and session insight.
- GlitchTip (self-hosted) — error and crash reporting.
4. Where your code lives
SwarmADE is local-first: Workers run on your own machine and your SwarmMemory knowledge graph stays in your repositories. Only the specifications and task metadata required to orchestrate work, plus the content sent to model providers for inference, leave your machine. We do not retain your source code beyond what is needed to operate the Service.
5. Retention
We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and as required to meet legal, accounting, or reporting obligations. When you delete your account we cancel your subscription and remove or anonymise your personal data, except where retention is legally required.
6. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (including under the GDPR and CCPA) you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You can manage your account from the app or exercise these rights by emailing [email protected].
7. Security
We use encryption in transit, hashed credentials, scoped access controls, and self-hosted observability. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you of incidents as required by law.
8. Changes and contact
We may update this policy; material changes will be announced before they take effect. For any privacy question, email [email protected]. See also our Cookie Policy.
